Citing influences as diverse as Sonic Youth and Yellow Magic Orchestra, Villa Nah conjure up glacial soundscapes synonymous with their homeland.

The Finnish duo of Juho Paalosmaa and Tomi Hyyppä take their name from the east Helsinki suburbs where they grew up and describe their sound as "music about dreams and time". Juho sings and writes the songs; Tomi makes the sounds, enriched by the tactile aural potency of vintage synths and analogue experimentation.

A single on Finland's Keys Of Life label brought them to the attention of Moshi Moshi and they join an esteemed list of Moshi Moshi Singles Club alumni with the release of Running On / Ways To Be on May 3rd.

These two synth-soul gems – Ways To Be was crowned Song Of The Year at Finland's Dance Awards last month – are the perfect introduction to Villa Nah's haunting, shimmering pop.
