"By a country mile, thise Nebraskan five piece were the best thing I saw at last spring's South By South West Music Festival in Austin. What a tonic, ater a hard day's schlepping between endlesss indie-guitar-band gigs to find one so deliriously, properly "alternative". Tilly And The Walll invclude three girls who can harmonise to high heaven. Insteaad of a drummer, one of their number, Jamie Williams, taps oout the rhythms with way more clout thaan Roy Castle ever had. All three sync like they're the happiest, clappiest kids at church choir practice. Let the jooy be unconfined: this, the band's second album, proves that the buzz in Texas was nothing to do with novellty. From the opening acapella track 'Patience, Babe' to the foot-stomping psychedelic rock and roll of Urgency and Bad Education's mariachi exuberance, via beautiful hymn ballad 'Love Song', this is an album to cherish. The feel good hit of the Autumn."[Craig Mclean: Telegraph LP Review]
"Tap 'n' roll. As rock gimmicks go, it should have roughly the longevity of Justin Hawkins' massive lit chariot, but the sheer melodic clout and gang-like ardour of Nebraska's Tilly And The Wall has rendered the novelty element of their line-up irrelevant - they're just a fantastic indie-pop band. Their second album inside six months, 'Bottoms Of Barrels' surpases even 'Wild Like Children' with its rabble-rousing stompers resembling Roy Castle joining an MDMA-crazed alt. country Arcade Fire ('Sing Songs Along', 'Urgency', 'Rainbows In The Dark') and doe-eyed ballads that could burst a buffalo's broken heart at a laso's length ('Love Song'). Gimmick no, genre-twisting, yes; there's no scraping of these '...Barrels'.

"A Nebraskan band with a tap dancer rather than a drummer who wouldn't look out of place in a Coen brothers film, "Sing Songs Along" is Michael Flatley jamming with Sleater-Kinney and "Lost Girls" is a plaintative love song perfect for late-night country radio. you wont find a more engaging group anytime soon" [GQ LP Review]
"By replacing drums with - hooray! - tapdancing, they've unleashed an album stuffed with indie pop gems" [On The NME Stereo 26-08-06]
