"This morning PlayLouder comrade Daniel Robson hopped online from Tokyo in a state of some distress. He'd just watched a showcase in Tokyo for a band called Blog 27... the debut album by whom is called 'LOL'. We kid you not. Best Fwends is arguably an even worse name than Blog 27, but don't let that put you off. There's a twee element for sure, in the squirreling sounds of their cheap keyboards and carefree vocals, but as is often the case when Moshi Moshi are venturing into realms kooky, there's a fantastic twist to this, like a sugar-rush Numbers with the horn, that makes Best Fwends equally suited to soundtracking the dance floor or sweaty boudoir."
