'One day we're going to live in Paris - I promise, I'm on it' The pledging vow of Friendly Fires on new single Paris.. whilst the talk on the band reaches fever pitch, Moshi Moshi snap them up for their next single, the delightful 'Paris' which will undoubtedly be all over the uk's dancefloors within due course. Moshi Moshi have had a trail of success with their singles club to date including, Kate Nash, Late of the Pier and Matt & Kim to name but a few..
Friendly Fires have had a storming summer; new management, sell out shows around the UK and a highlight set on Sunday night at Bestival.. all seeing their fanbase grow and grow, and soon they will have a finished album. The labels continue to fight over who will sign them.
The St Albans three piece (Ed Macfarlane, Ed Gibson, Jack Savidge) sit somewhere between the pop charm of Snap!, the funk allure of Prince, and the electronic patter of Daft Punk..all topped off with the unabashed charm of George Clooney. Oh yes. A winning combination, surely. It seems the general public agree, the band have been booked for a range of UK dates this Autumn, with Iceland Airwaves, Amsterdam's London Calling and Les Inrock, Paris, leading the charge. In addition they've acquired rather a large fanbase in Barcelona and will be headin back over there in November.
Friendly fires will be the first unsigned band ever to play Transmission on Channel 4 which airs 9th November.. they already have two Maida Vale sessions under their belt.
